SILVERSEA GUIDE

Silver Wind continuing the legend of luxury cruise adventures
Sailing on Silver Wind is like embarking on a marvelous journey with a most indulgent nanny. Everything that has possibly been said about the fine art of pampering on all-suite Silversea Cruises is 100 percent true. If a guest mentions a favorite wine to the sommelier, a bottle pops up at dinner. Pillows not to your liking? They are replaced. Newspapers are provided in each suite whenever available. Canapés turn up at cocktail time. The all-inclusive price covers round-trip airfare, transfers, port charges, portage, gratuities and all beverages. A pre-cruise hotel stay at Relais & Chateaux properties (which typically run to small European castles, totally luxe-historic small American hotels, etc.) is also included and on many sailings an offshore excursion is thrown in. It's the kind of atmosphere that makes the per diem cost of more than $750 understandable, but also provides an almost-off-the-charts rating from past passengers resulting in a record number of repeaters.
